The Capitol Anesthesiology Association (CAA) was established in 1973 since then it has grown as one of the main independent practice of physicians specializing in anesthesiology. At CAA there is a team of over 80 physicians plus 130 certified Registered Anesthetists (CRNA). CAA is committed to offering the best care possible in their more than 20 centers in the entire area of Austin. The CAA services are focused on providing aesthetic services in Austin’s several areas such as high-acuity hospitals, Level 1 Trauma centers and a number of ambulatory surgery centers.
CAA physicians are either American Board Anesthesiology certified or they are in process of being certified by the Board. The CAA’s physicians are competent because most of the physicians have done advanced training in specialized fields of obstetric, pediatric anesthesiology and cardiothoracic. The national quality benchmarks have illustrated the CAA dedication to providing excellent care anesthesia.
The anesthesiologists are supported by the 130 CRNA nurses so that they can provide comfortable and reliable anesthesia experience. The team of physicians and CNRA, registered nurses are comprised of the anesthesia team that works together to provide CAA’s patients the top notch in anesthesia care.
CAA provides a wide range of the anesthetic care service for their patient. The main purpose of providing anesthesia is because it serves as a means of relieving pain and anxiety before, during and after a surgical procedure. The are three main classifications of the anesthesia offered in CAA they consist of General Anesthesia: done when a far-reaching surgical operation is being performed, Regional Anesthesia; this serves as a method of relieving pain during and after operation and Monitored Anesthesia care; concerned with minor operations of small sections of soft tissues.
