Anil Chaturvedi is one of the most successful bankers who came from India and his influence in the industry is so significant that it managed to bring changes in the way banks perform, especially in Europe and India. His also influenced a lot of entrepreneurs in Asia, Europe, and North America to find out a more effective way on how they could move their funds from one bank to another, which would be beneficial to their businesses and their country’s economy. Anil Chaturvedi has been with the banking sector for four decades, and during this period, he managed to develop the skills needed to become an efficient banker. Today, he is working with Hinduja Bank, a financial institution that he transformed thanks to the reforms that he introduced.
Anil Chaturvedi attended the Delhi University and graduated in the year 1973. He took up a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Economic Honors. He also took up an MBA in Financial Management at the same university. After he graduated, he immediately looked for a job that would help him become a successful banker. He worked with several financial institutions which are small-time, but his big break came after he was hired by the State Bank of India in 1987. He was given the position as a manager for development and planning, and he helped the financial institution to become successful and an excellent performer. During his time with the State Bank of India, he was given several recognitions because of his contribution in the growing number of Indian businesses opening in the United States. The business relationship between the two countries also improved, thanks to the efforts exerted by Anil Chaturvedi. He was also given the award as the Man of the Year because of his regular contributions in the field of business. He left the company in 1991 and looked for another firm that would elevate his career further.
He began transferring from one company to another, starting with ANZ Grindlays Bank where he worked for several years as the Vice President & Senior Representative for the company’s United States operations. He later joined Merill Lynch, working from 1993 to 2011. Then, another opportunity came, and he had to transfer to Hinduja Bank in 2011.
