Marvel and Disney really have a license to print money with the Avengers movie franchise. The second installment hasn’t even been released, but everyone is already talking about Avengers 3.

With a villain as big as Thanos, and a storyline as massive as the Infinity Gauntlet, there might not be enough time to cover everything in just one film. So executives have been toying around with the idea of splitting Avengers 3 into two films.

Of course, this isn’t unusual, as Paul Mathieson mentioned on his twitter, with a ton of other properties adopting the split storyline approach. Twilight, The Hunger Games, and Harry Potter have all split the final movie into two installments.

Avengers 3 will represent somewhat of a final installment for Marvel, as the universe will see a massive shift. After Avengers 3, the original actors are all out of contract, with most seemingly willing to take a step away from the cinematic universe.

So it will be interesting to see how things change in the future, and if this proves to be the route that Marvel will go.

One Thought on “Avengers 3 Might Be Too Big For One Movie

  1. Another possible outcome, is having Avengers 3 tie into Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Which we now know is going to happen as well. Having one release in March of 2018, and the next in 2019. This is most likely a cool way to buy research paper and make sure it’s working pretty well as it should.
