Vijay Eswaran is the current Executive Chairman of the QI Group, which is involved in the owning of multiple companies (a popular one being QNet Ltd., a networking marketing company).
Vijay grew up in Penang, Malaysia and was born to Pushpavathy Chinnaiah and Vijayaratnam Saravanamuthu on October 7th, 1960. Not only is he the Executive Chairman of the QI Group, but he is also a co-founder.
He founded the company in 1998 after staying in the United States for some time for schooling. The schools he attended and graduated from while in America include the London School of Economics and Southern Illinois University. He also received a Chartered Institute of Managed Accounts while abroad in the United Kingdom.
But before he was able to accrue his academic accomplishments, he was working varying jobs to supplement his income. Vijay did construction work while in Belgium, plucked grapes while in France, and even drove taxi cabs while in London.
After attaining his degrees and working these jobs, he returned to Asia and founded QI Group. QI Group focuses on multiple sectors of business. By definition, QI Group is an e-commerce conglomerate which businesses include travel, media, telecommunications, luxury products, wellness, training, and corporate investments.
QI Group has gone on to become a highly thriving business by modern standards, with regional in multiple countries in Asia. Vijay Eswaran is also a noted philanthropist, having created the RYTHM foundation as a way to cater to the philanthropist interests of the conglomerate.
He has also created the Vijayaratnam Foundation, which is named after his father, to contribute to the community via donations and giving to charitable organizations. His wife, Umayal Eswaran is the Chairperson of the Vijayaratnam Foundation. He has also created mentorship programs to assist and connect with others.
Lastly, Mr. Vijay Eswaran has amassed accolades for his work in business as well. He was included in Forbes Asia’s Malaysia’s 50 Richest where he ranked number 25 and was also given the New Global Indian award for his excellence in philanthropy and business. Now that’s a story worth knowing.
