Yanni Hufnagel started his journey in Scarsdale. In high school he was involved with basketball. After high school he graduated Cornell. From there his involvement in coaching began.

 

The CBS Sports Survey of 2011 ranked Yanni Hufnagel as the assistant coach that will be a big success due to his amazing recruiting capability. His passion for being involved in basketball and making it big started at a young age. He showed his love for basketball early on by playing with his figurines of basketball players. He would dive into coaching books over and over again until the pages became frayed. Besides playing basketball he also ventured into lacrosse at Penn State for a while. After Penn State he stumbled upon being part of his town’s television station. He broadcasted alongside Ed Cohern. Ed Cohern saw the great enthusiasm he had while talking about sports. It made him believe that Yanni Hufnagel one day would be broadcasting for a living or be a successful coach.

 

He was an assistant coach for the basketball team at Harvard. The Crimsons at Harvard had much success when Yanni Hufnagel stepped in as the assistant basketball coach. The team won the Ivy League. He helped Jeremy Lin became a great success. At Harvard he became one of the best basketball recruiters. He helped recruit Zena Edosomwan a top ranked player. While working with the Vanderbilt Commodores he helped them rank. With his involvement of California Golden Bears this team landed to the 2016 NCCA Tournament. Currently, he is an assistant coach for Nevada Wolf Pack. His career path has led him to be such an amazing and energetic individual in the sports arena. His strategic moves are a great success.
