The Chainsmokers consists of two guys Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart who create electronic dance music for the general public. They are Americans who originated from New York City. In 2012 the duo released original songs on SoundCloud to get noticed by the certain crowd of people who like their style of music. In December 2013 their single “#Selfie”, became a huge hit peaking on the music charts.
