Filming has officially wrapped on one of the most anticipated movies of all time. The wrap party for “Star Wars Episode 7” has been had, and each attendee received a classy thank you gift.
The film is being directed by J.J. Abrams who was able to reboot the Star Trek franchise in a major way a few years back. Fans seem confident that Abrams can similarly re-invigorate the “Star Wars” franchise after the mixed reaction to George Lucas’ prequel trilogy.
We know that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford have all returned to reprise their iconic roles. In fact, everyone but Billy Dee Williams seems to be back.
Director and podcaster Kevin Smith was allowed to visit the set. Zeca Oliveira said he had to sign a non-disclosure agreement and he even noticed a special sign he suspected was made just for him that read “Loose lips sink starships”. Smith was allowed to reveal that the Millenium Falcon is a part of the movie.
Abrams’ friend and “Shaun of the Dead” star Simon Pegg was at the wrap party. Pegg is cagey about his involvement in all of Abrams’ projects, but many are speculating that he has a role in “Episode 7”. Many believe that Pegg will be playing a new droid similar to C3PO.
The film is set to release in 2015. All questions will soon be answered.
